Hello and Happy Halloween

My Mom has been so busy working on the Airedale Rescue Fund Raiser she has not had time to blog and she is sorry but we did get dressed up for Halloween but it rained....Boo! Claire-dale our former foster Airedale spent the week-end with us and we had a blast!!

WHAT A BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

Look what Aunt Lana made for Mom for her Birthday..It is so cool and Mom has it displayed right on the bar in the kitchen. We call it Mom pushing, Baby riding and Dad pulling.. Perfect Airedale family..We love you Aunt Lana and Uncle Stan too..It was so great to see you the other day..and Dad sent Mom that beautiful flower cake..No calories.She was so happy!

Jagger went for a hike (by himself)

I went for a hike today for one hour by myself. Dad opened the door for Claire to go out and I saw it my chance to escape so off I went. It was hot but I had a good time. I visited all my neighbors all over the subdivision and Mom visited them too as she cut through backyards and drove around calling my name. Dad got in his car and he was calling my name but I was having so much fun I just went the other way. I went in the creek and played with children who told my Mom they saw a dog about 3 feet long running in the woods. About an hour later I thought to myself Mom and Dad must be very upset with me so I ran home and nobody was there so I just sat in front of the door. Then I see Mom and Dad pull up in the car hot, sweaty and upset. My tail went right between my legs. I spent a lot of time in my crate tonight and had a very late dinner. Can not wait to do it again. PS: I heard she called Joan the dog trainer

I am Beautiful

I went for a professional haircut today and I am beautiful. I also lost 2 more pounds. I am turning into a real princess and loving it. My brothers give me a run for my money but I know they love me. Here are some of my beauty shots.

RULES FOR DOGS WHO HAVE A HOUSE TO RUN

1. If you have to throw up, get into a chair quickly. If you
can't manage that in time, get to an oriental rug
(or any good rug will do).

2. Always accompany guests to the bathroom. It is not
necessary to do anything, just sit and stare.

3. Do not allow closed doors in any room. To get a door
opened,stand on your hind legs, and hammer with
your forepaws.

4. When supervising cooking, stand behind the left foot of
the cook, where you will be stepped on, picked up, and
consoled with food.

5. When a door is opened, use it. When you've ordered
an outside door opened, it is important to stand halfway
out and think about several things. It is especially important
during cold weather, rain,snow, or the mosquito season.

6. Begin people training early. Humans need to know the
basic rules.
They can be taught if you start early and are consistent.

HOT IN ATLANTA GEORGIA

Hi, Claire here. It is hot in Atlanta and I am just chilling out in the aire conditioning. Things have been quiet around here and I have not counter surfed in a few days but Mom made chicken today but had no success. This is the bestest foster home in the world. They let me on the couch and sleep on their bed and my brothers are awesome.

Back to being a couch potato.

Claire-dale went Surfing

Claire ate 90 of my "chocolate mint calcium vitamins", I thought it was Ezzy because he was ripping up the box. I took him to the vet to induce vomiting and nothing came up so I ran back home and got Claire......Poor Ezzy went through so much for nothing . This Claire-dale is a counter surfer, big time. She has lost 13 pounds and has about 12 to go. We exercise everyday and she can not wait to eat breakfast and dinner! She is a cuddle bunny....

What a sweetheart Claire is. She will stay by your side inside and out. All she wants to do is love and be loved. As you all know she is up for adoption. Claire would be a great Therapy dog.

Claire-dale Has Arrived

Check out the blog Airedale Heaven and you can see the adventurous trip to Chattanooga. Mom and Aunt Lana transported Amos to his forever home and Claire-dale to live with us. . Mom just got a new camera so when she figures it all out she will post photos. The first night Claire-dale slept next to Mom and we slept on the floor not to disturb her. She is a little plump and needs to loose about 40 pounds but she is a cutie. She walks kind of funny because of her weight but Mom has her on a super diet and lots of vitamins. Claire-dale sleeps a lot but wakes up when she hears
the frig opening and by the way she is a counter surfer. Mom almost lost her sandwich today. Funny a Airedale that fat can put two paws on the counter and surf (LOL).
We are all going for a walk, a slow one but soon Claire will be catching up.

Clairedale's arrival has been delayed. Boooooo!

Well, we thought Claire-dale would be arriving tomorrow, but her current foster mom is in the hospital with pneumonia. I guess the transport will have to take place NEXT weekend! We HOPE! We sure hope Molly gets all better really soon!

CLAIRE-DALE IS ON HER WAY

Ezzy, Jagger , Mom and Dad will be fostering a Airedale named Claire-dale. She is on her way from Tennessee and will arrive Saturday. Claire-dale has had a history of service. When Claire wandered away from her home, her owners didn't bother to go looking for her. She strolled down the street and hung around a rehab center for teens. And there Claire stayed for more than a year, giving the teens someone to hug and hold on to. Unfortunately, the kids thanked her with many, many snacks and so Claire became a bit hefty. Recently Claire found her way to Airedale Rescure Group. We heard Claire is a lively, funny girl who enjoys pets and affection. I'm sure she will be remembered by many a teen who found comfort hugging her curly coat. Photos will be on the blog this week-end . Stay Tuned.....

HOW TO PREPARE FOR A PUPPY

My girlfriend Barbara emailed this to me and I had to share. Makes you want to go out and get a puppy?
How to prepare for a puppy - 12 Easy Steps1. Pour cold apple juice on the carpet in several places and walk around barefoot in the dark.2. Wear a sock to work that has had the toes shredded by a blender.3. Immediately upon waking, stand outside in the rain and dark saying, "Be a good puppy, go potty now - hurry up - come on, lets go!"4. Cover all your best suits with dog hair. Dark suits must use white hair and lightsuits must use dark hair. Also float some hair in your first cup of coffee in the morning.5. Play "catch" with a wet tennis ball.6. Run out in the snow in your bare feet to close the gate.7. Tip over a basket of clean laundry, scatter clothing all over the floor.8. Leave your underwear on the living room floor, because that's where the dog will drag it anyway. (Especially when you have company.)9. Jump out of your chair shortly before the end of your favorite TV program and run to the door shouting, "No no! Do that OUTSIDE!" Miss the end of the program.10. Put chocolate pudding on the carpet in the morning, and don't try to clean it up until you return from work that evening.11. Gouge the leg of the dining room table several times with a screwdriver - it's going to get chewed on anyway.12. Take a warm and cuddly blanket out of the dryer and immediately wrap it around yourself. This is the feeling you will get when your puppy falls asleep on your lap.

JOKE OF THE DAY

A young man was visiting his brother and sister-in-law for Sunday dinner. As he arrived at their house he found his young nephew, Mikey, helping them bake some cupcakes. After they were done, his sister-in-law allowed Mikey to put the icing on. When the boy had finished, he brought them to the table."The cupcakes look delicious, Mike." his uncle said. He took a bite and said, "Mikey these are so good." As he finished one cupcake and took another, he again complimented his little nephew. "The cupcakes look beautiful, Mikey," his uncle said. "How did you gett he icing so neat?"His nephew replied, "It was easy. I just licked them."The uncle turned pale. He pointed to the plate ofcupcakes. "You licked all of these?"Mikey replied, "Well no. After a while my tongue got tired, and I got the dog to help."

K-9 FOR THE CURE

Our Mom is chairperson for K-9 for the Cure with the American Cancer Society this year. Come walk with us Ezzy and Jagger, (Maggie and Chaia, Cancer Survivors) or donate on our website. Mom found this photo and wanted to show us off. We are very excited because we heard the painters are coming next week to paint the kitchen cabinets. We wonder how much trouble we will get in. We will keep you posted. Mom is doing great. She is rearranging furniture so we see is back to good old Mom.

MOM IS DOING GREAT

Hi , It's the boys, Ezzy and Jagger. Mom's surgery went very well and she came home Wednesday. Mom slept a lot and I saw her slowly walk up the stairs today. She has a doctors appointment this afternoon. We never spent so much time sleeping .....We did not leave her for one minute except to see who was at the door, eat and do out business. Our Dad did a great job being a nurse. Mom wants to thank everyone for their well wishes and prayers and one more thing....Please say a pray for Patches, Penny and Poppy's Dad. He is in the hospital.

MOM IS GOING TO THE HOSPITAL

Hi
Mom is going into the hospital Monday to get the popiteal artery unkinked because it is embedded behind her knee and her circulation is poor. She had her right knee done in December and it is 100% better. Mom will not be around for about 7 days so we will take good care of her when she gets home and keep her cozy and warm. (We are so lucky she has a king size bed) The doctors said it is a unique case....That is our Mom, Unique! Please send her plenty of Aire-Zen
