I went for a hike today for one hour by myself. Dad opened the door for Claire to go out and I saw it my chance to escape so off I went. It was hot but I had a good time. I visited all my neighbors all over the subdivision and Mom visited them too as she cut through backyards and drove around calling my name. Dad got in his car and he was calling my name but I was having so much fun I just went the other way. I went in the creek and played with children who told my Mom they saw a dog about 3 feet long running in the woods. About an hour later I thought to myself Mom and Dad must be very upset with me so I ran home and nobody was there so I just sat in front of the door. Then I see Mom and Dad pull up in the car hot, sweaty and upset. My tail went right between my legs. I spent a lot of time in my crate tonight and had a very late dinner. Can not wait to do it again. PS: I heard she called Joan the dog trainer

I went for a professional haircut today and I am beautiful. I also lost 2 more pounds. I am turning into a real princess and loving it. My brothers give me a run for my money but I know they love me. Here are some of my beauty shots.

RULES FOR DOGS WHO HAVE A HOUSE TO RUN

1. If you have to throw up, get into a chair quickly. If you
can't manage that in time, get to an oriental rug
(or any good rug will do).

2. Always accompany guests to the bathroom. It is not
necessary to do anything, just sit and stare.

3. Do not allow closed doors in any room. To get a door
opened,stand on your hind legs, and hammer with
your forepaws.

4. When supervising cooking, stand behind the left foot of
the cook, where you will be stepped on, picked up, and
consoled with food.

5. When a door is opened, use it. When you've ordered
an outside door opened, it is important to stand halfway
out and think about several things. It is especially important
during cold weather, rain,snow, or the mosquito season.

6. Begin people training early. Humans need to know the
basic rules.
They can be taught if you start early and are consistent.

Hi, Claire here. It is hot in Atlanta and I am just chilling out in the aire conditioning. Things have been quiet around here and I have not counter surfed in a few days but Mom made chicken today but had no success. This is the bestest foster home in the world. They let me on the couch and sleep on their bed and my brothers are awesome.

Claire ate 90 of my "chocolate mint calcium vitamins", I thought it was Ezzy because he was ripping up the box. I took him to the vet to induce vomiting and nothing came up so I ran back home and got Claire......Poor Ezzy went through so much for nothing . This Claire-dale is a counter surfer, big time. She has lost 13 pounds and has about 12 to go. We exercise everyday and she can not wait to eat breakfast and dinner! She is a cuddle bunny....

Claire-dale Has Arrived

Check out the blog Airedale Heaven and you can see the adventurous trip to Chattanooga. Mom and Aunt Lana transported Amos to his forever home and Claire-dale to live with us. . Mom just got a new camera so when she figures it all out she will post photos. The first night Claire-dale slept next to Mom and we slept on the floor not to disturb her. She is a little plump and needs to loose about 40 pounds but she is a cutie. She walks kind of funny because of her weight but Mom has her on a super diet and lots of vitamins. Claire-dale sleeps a lot but wakes up when she hears
the frig opening and by the way she is a counter surfer. Mom almost lost her sandwich today. Funny a Airedale that fat can put two paws on the counter and surf (LOL).
We are all going for a walk, a slow one but soon Claire will be catching up.

Well, we thought Claire-dale would be arriving tomorrow, but her current foster mom is in the hospital with pneumonia. I guess the transport will have to take place NEXT weekend! We HOPE! We sure hope Molly gets all better really soon!

Ezzy, Jagger , Mom and Dad will be fostering a Airedale named Claire-dale. She is on her way from Tennessee and will arrive Saturday. Claire-dale has had a history of service. When Claire wandered away from her home, her owners didn't bother to go looking for her. She strolled down the street and hung around a rehab center for teens. And there Claire stayed for more than a year, giving the teens someone to hug and hold on to. Unfortunately, the kids thanked her with many, many snacks and so Claire became a bit hefty. Recently Claire found her way to Airedale Rescure Group. We heard Claire is a lively, funny girl who enjoys pets and affection. I'm sure she will be remembered by many a teen who found comfort hugging her curly coat. Photos will be on the blog this week-end . Stay Tuned.....

How to prepare for a puppy - 12 Easy Steps1. Pour cold apple juice on the carpet in several places and walk around barefoot in the dark.2. Wear a sock to work that has had the toes shredded by a blender.3. Immediately upon waking, stand outside in the rain and dark saying, "Be a good puppy, go potty now - hurry up - come on, lets go!"4. Cover all your best suits with dog hair. Dark suits must use white hair and lightsuits must use dark hair. Also float some hair in your first cup of coffee in the morning.5. Play "catch" with a wet tennis ball.6. Run out in the snow in your bare feet to close the gate.7. Tip over a basket of clean laundry, scatter clothing all over the floor.8. Leave your underwear on the living room floor, because that's where the dog will drag it anyway. (Especially when you have company.)9. MOM IS DOING GREAT

Hi , It's the boys, Ezzy and Jagger. Mom's surgery went very well and she came home Wednesday. Mom slept a lot and I saw her slowly walk up the stairs today. She has a doctors appointment this afternoon. We never spent so much time sleeping .....We did not leave her for one minute except to see who was at the door, eat and do out business. Our Dad did a great job being a nurse. Mom wants to thank everyone for their well wishes and prayers and one more thing....Please say a pray for Patches, Penny and Poppy's Dad. He is in the hospital.

MOM IS GOING TO THE HOSPITAL

Mom is going into the hospital Monday to get the popiteal artery unkinked because it is embedded behind her knee and her circulation is poor. She had her right knee done in December and it is 100% better. Mom will not be around for about 7 days so we will take good care of her when she gets home and keep her cozy and warm. (We are so lucky she has a king size bed) The doctors said it is a unique case....That is our Mom, Unique! Please send her plenty of Aire-Zen

I Rescued A Human Today

I rescued a human today.Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her. I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid. As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage. I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them. As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life. She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship. A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well. Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe. I would promiseto always be by her side. I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes. I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors. So many more to be saved. Atleast I could save one. I rescued a human today. Author Unknown

A LONG DAY ON THE SET

We got on the set at 11:30 and they did not shoot the scene I was in until 4:30..What a long day! I was hungry and tired and one of the actors kept on snapping his cell phone and it scared me. The steps of the house where I had to sit was so hot and the sound director wanted to know if I could stop panting. I had to sit there for 12 takes. I saw Mom and she was very upset. I think Mom and the trainer are talking about not continuing this movie. The next shoot is in April..We will keep you posted.

Poor boy Jagger. From getting caught when jumping over the fence he developed an infection in his abdomen. He spent the night at the vet and now is home and has two penrose drains. He is on three medications and not feeling like a Dale. We were going on vacation this week but Jagger needs us and I could not see him spending days at the vet while we were having fun.

Jagger we hope you heal quickly.

ICE CREAM PARTY AND AIREDALE COOKIES

Mom made Airedale cookies because I am graduating from another obedience

class tomorrow night. Mom I think ate more cookies then she planned (LOL)

Then me Jagger, was so jealous of Mom with the cat the other day that I jumped

the fence and got caught with my front feet on the ground and my hind legs in the

fence and a metal post sticking me in the tummy. Mom had a tough time getting

me untangled so she used all her muscle and with the help of "doG" after the third

try got me over. If Mom was not there I would have gone over the rainbow.....

It was awful....I had a swollen tummy and leg. Mom rush me to the vet....I am there

often because I do not think before I do something..

Last week -end Ezzy and I had an ice cream party and I hope we have another soon.

A STAR IS BORN

Jagger has been working with a trainer (Joan) for the last couple of months and has been doing great. Our doors do not fly off the hinges when Jag wants to go out anymore and he even stays by my side when we walk. Joan got a call from a producer in California that he wanted to do a movie in Georgia (a take off on "On Golden Pond" ) and would she please send picture's of several dogs she has trained. Well, JAGGER WAS THE PICK! They will start shooting the movie the end of September so Jagger and Joan have a lot of work in front of them. Are you ready for his name in the film? "Hambone" LOL.....We are very excited about this and hope it makes HBO or even the Big Screen. We will keep you posted! My mother has said that the worst child will always bring you the most pleasure. To our other Dale Ezzy Rider.....Mom and Dad love you too and think you are very SPECIAL! You both are our heart!

JAGGER READY FOR SPACE LAUNCH

Jagger the wonder dog did it again. Jag ate 4 fence slates and tried to catch a critter and in the act he took off two inches of skin on his front leg and also has cuts and a laceration on the back side of his leg. Now he is in a E collar as you can see and it is getting dangerous around here. Chairs and lamps are flying and my legs are black and blue. Jag put his head on my lap while I was watching TV...It is very hard to watch TV through plastic.....We had to cancel physical therapy this week. This boy is a handful but sweet and and still growing. Soon we will be buying a saddle. What can you do ?????

Annecy, my foster sisiter and her Mom joined us for a walk on the river this morning. Unfortunately they barricaded all the place were we could go swimming (I guess they do not want poop in the river but we would know better not to do that. ) People stopped us several times and said we were gorgeous and handsome. A HAIRCUT AND THE DOG PARK

We had a big day. Mom dropped us off at the groomer and we had our summer haircut and then when Dad came home we all went to the dog park. I Jagger, feel so much better and I ran with all my friends. I know Mom was watching me carefully and was worried but I do feel stronger in the hip area. We would like to share some photos of our day and we hope all of you guys have a great week-end.

Jagger Water Therapy

Sorry we haven't been around for a while, but Mom had neck surgery and I have been in physical therapy because I have hip dysplasia. Now we will be around more and will keep you posted with our escapades of Ezzy and myself. Please see the video below of me jogging in the water. I do this twice a week and it's really fun because I get cookies.

TERRIBLE TWO

Jagger here. I have gotten into so much trouble lately. Is it my age or is it because I am a Airehead? I ate two full littler boxes of treats and boy oh boy did by stomach hurt and then I decided to take the spout off of the drain on the side of the house and bring it to the back door in such a new design that Mom had to look at it twice to see what it was. Mom went to visit Poppy and Penny yesterday and left Ezzy and I confined to our toy room. Not did I only eat the wicker basket my toys were in and decorated the house with it but I took a big chunk out of Mom's drawing table. I think I got it mixed up with a toy. I heard that it is back to crate time!! Mom fed me last night and gave me a kiss so I think I will be around a little longer. The truth of the matter is Ezzy just watch me and had nothing to do with it. I love my little brother

OUR BABY IS NOT OUR BABY ANYMORE

We remember the cold day we picked Jagger up at his foster Mom and he was so skinny and
in neeed of TLC. . We took him to the vet and his was weight 71. I said to my husband Bill , Jag will probably be a big boy about 75 pounds. Today our baby is 90 pounds. (of l0ve)

Our boy Jagger completed level one Obedience Class. Not only did he get a diploma but a bag of cookies... In two weeks we start Rally and obedience level two.
We had our garden renovated just for the Airedales and Jagger has removed bricks from the porch already..He is so special.. Want adventure? Own an Airedale!

Yesterday morning I heard all this Airedale barking and howling and ran out to see what was going on and this cute Raccoon was sitting on the fence watching the Dog and Pony show. He must have sat there for 30 minutes.

Hi , I am growing by leaps and bounds and when I was adopted my weight was 71 and now I weigh 84. I am in obedience school and my teacher feels so sorry for my Mom . I have been known for howling while heeling in class because I see lots of horses and another cute Airedale my teacher owns. Saturday I pulled my Mom a little to hard and she went down. Joan our teacher is having a free class with us tomorrow because she said I need help!!

Last year I heard that Mom and Dad had a beautiful English garden and now they are wondering why things are not blooming and all the garden art work is in shreds and even the bird houses have been misplaced. When I walk I am like a wild boar coming through the brush. I do not know how I got so big but I have a feeling I have not finished growing. Mom has posted some of the damage I have done but they still feed me and kiss me so I must be doing something right.
